Celtic Legend - 'Lyonesse'
'The tale of an ancient kingdom lost beneath the waves ...' Lyonesse is Celtic Legend's second album. After telling the story of Tristan and Isolde for this recording they explored another Cornish legend - the story of Lyonesse. Lyonesse is Cornwall's answer to the legend of Atlantis; a mythical kingdom that once existed to the west of Land's End in an area now covered by the pounding waves of the Atlantic Ocean. |

| After the ensemble approach of 'Tristan and Isolde' on the music side at least Celtic Legend coalesced into a more definable band. The catalyst for this was the arrival in August 2005 of Emily Ovenden, a Cornish singer with the group the ‘Mediaeval Baebes’. She took over the role of principal vocalist and featured on the three subsequent Celtic Legend videos: Song of Tomorrow, The Boatman and Soldier Boy. | |||||||
